Our Field Class took place at the supermarket. I gave students a piece of paper with columns named after supermarket sections, such as: general products, general food, vegetables, fruits, beverages, etc.
We went through the aisles talking about each product and food, and students had to fill out their grids.
They learned some new supermarket vocabulary, like “express lane”, among others.
At the end, we had a BINGO with the names they had listed. Only one student won, and he got a chocolate box. All the students (and the teacher) seemed to have a lot of fun!
To enclose our fun in golden fences, the teacher and the students had some ice cream (on the teacher), LOL.
